A good plot changes everything
Since the
dawn of time Men and Women always tried to figure each other out but always
fails. And in the movie world they sometimes put out bad films as in this case.
The movie is called Boys and Girls. It's about two longtime friends (Prinze,
Forlani), and college students at Berkeley, that they start to think maybe they
should be dating after a string of failed romances for both.
When you watch Boys And Girls, you may think you've seen it before. Guess what?
You have. You may think it's like a movie called She's All That and When Harry
Meet Sally but trust me, Boys and Girls is nothing like them.
If I could
name the movie in two words it would be called Rip Off.
Boys and Girls has a good cast. It stars Freddie Prinze Jr. He plays Ryan,
a college rich kid who is kind of dorky. Which I cannot
picture him being because most girls in the world
love him so how can he act like a nerd. Next is, Claire Forlani as Jennifer. She
is an open-minded person who speaks what she thinks. She is looking for Mr.
Right she was nice to look at in this picture but I still think she looked good
in Meet Joe Black.
Some of the cast from two of the last years hits American Pie and Blair Witch
Project are in Boys and Girls. There is Jason Biggs as Hunter who is Ryan's best
friend and roommate. Next is Heather Donahue as Megan who is one of Ryan's
girlfriends. Lastly, Alyson Hannigan who you would remember from one of the
funniest scenes in American Pie. I give you a hint. "Once in Band
Camp..." Remember her.
One thing about Boys and Girls is that it lacks plot. The story is so dull it has
no feeling to it. The cast should be ashamed of themselves. They are better
actors and actresses than as they are shown in Boys and Girls. One thing, if you
see this film you might be wondering why you paid 8 bucks to see
it. Wait until it comes out on video. Then at least you can skip the slow parts.
Final Thought: A big disappointment. I was hoping Boys and Girls was going
to be a better movie
