Dude Where’s My Car is the story about two friends Jesse (Ashton Katcher) and Chester (Sean William Scott) who had the biggest party day. Or as they called it sweet time last night when they woke up they cannot remember what happen last night.
Also to make matter worst they lost their car, they cannot
remember where they park it all they know about last night they got a year’s
worth of pudding (yes I said pudding) in the fridge. And their girlfriends are
ticked at them for trashing their house and forgetting their anniversary. To
make up with the girls, the dudes have to find the gifts they brought for the
occasion. Guess what? The gifts are in the back seat of the car they lost.
In the line of American Pie, which was a good film, Due
Where’s My Car was not. They story was very bad it did not make any sense at
all. It was funny a lot of scene did make me laugh but god I like a story as
well as laughing. Look at Road Trip that was funny and it had a good story.
The problem is the film is intended for the 12 and young crowd who doesn’t care for a plot. They just want to hang out and laugh with friends. There were a couple of scenes that make the film watch able in my book. The group of girls in black later looking for the secret weapon to destroy the world looks good. And the 100-foot lady was funny and the go go dancers were nice to look at also.
Overall Dude Where’s My Car the kids will like it but don’t expect their parents to like it too much.© 2000 Paul Perkins
