The
Hurricane Review By Paul Perkins
The
Hurricane is Rubin "Hurricane" Carter (Denzel Washington) a strong
contender for the middleweight boxing title but In June 1966 Driving home
from a nearby club, Carter was erroneously arrested for the murders and
sentenced to serve three life terms in prison. Several years later He published
a book The Sixteen Round. Which was based on his life. Then at a book sale
a young teenager (Vicellous Shannon) and three Canadian Carpenters (Deborah
Unger, John Hannah, Liev Schreiber) buy the book and there life will change
forever.
Acclaimed
director Norman Jewison (In The Heat of The Night, A Soldier's Story)
Made This Remarkable Movie the director made ever detail in the movie
shine, the fight scene was very Realistic and shows the sport that Hurricane
Carter Love. The story was strong and powerful the director made you feel
and also want justice to be served how Carter was falsely accused of the
crime he was imprisoning for. The Screenplay was Remarkable By (Armyan
Bernstein, Dan Gordon).
Denzel Washington was very remarkable he made the role
on Rubin "Hurricane" Carter he was powerful and he took this role
seriously this is one on Denzel best role since Glory and Philadelphia. He
should get an Oscar for this role Vicellous Shannon was a great supporting actor
how he believed and also wanted Carter to be freed.
Every body in this movie was great if you have one movie to choose
to see next Year choice this one. This movie was Very powerfully and
lifting you will feel for Hurricane Carter this is one film not to miss.
