Plot

Reports of a grisly death and odd eyewitness accounts surrounding it draws a New York paleontologist (Fonda) out to the remote woods of Maine, to the area around Lake Placid.

With the help of a taciturn fish and game warden (Pullman), and a battling sheriff and wildlife expert, she discovers that an enormous crocodile is responsible for the havoc
