Going to college is a big part of some of our lives and fitting in with your classmates is another. But when you are a loner and don’t talk to anyone you are called a Loser.

Paul Tannek (Jason Biggs) is a nerdy, good-natured college student adrift in New York on a scholarship. His pot-smoking, girl-chasing roommates hate him, everyone else on campus pushes him around or ignores him and Dora Diamond (Mena Suvari), the girl of his dreams, turns out to have eyes only for their English Lit professor (Greg Kinnear). Things appear pretty bleak until the college billets him in a local veterinary hospital. Then Paul suddenly finds himself with something everyone else wants: a place to party; an address that will allow Dora to access Financial Aid; and the realization that his knowledge of the professor’s affair with Dora could buy him an “A” if he plays his cards right.

The more people push them around, the closer Paul and Dora get. In the end, Paul and Dora not only fall for each other, they find the courage to walk away from the people who use them – proof that even losers get lucky sometimes.

There was a couple of problems I saw in loser one were the story it was kind of lame it was a very slow story and you knew what was gonging to happen. They a good cast but there was no chemistry between Jason and Mena. Jason did better in his American Pie movie and Mena did better in her American Beauty movie. The second thing I did not like was how they had Mena Suvari looks she look like a little girl in Loser. She played a waitress in an adult entertainment bar, and she look like a little kid I think she is a great and gorgeous actress but she does not play the good girl to good.

Amy Heckerling directed Loser and she is losing her touch for teenager films her others films that was good were Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Clueless. She should try something new let see how her next film will be.

Overall Loser is not bad as Boys and Girls but it not great neither but check it out and see what you think it could have been a better movie it they try a little harder at it.
