A New High Note For Carey

There have been many great Musicians over the years. One of those Musicians has had a lot of Number one Hits her name is Mariah Carey she has been around for over a decade and she has so many hits I lost count. Like others in her field, L.L Cool J, Janet Jackson, Ice T they like to try different things so they turn to acting. Which if you think about it it’s a good move because it will make a bigger name for them and help to sell more records. So she is up to bat and her break out film is called Glitter, which also happens to be her new CD title.

The film start off with a young Billie Frank (Mariah Carey) and her mother in a bar singing. They she is abandoned by her mother because she cannot take care of her. But that doesn’t stop Billie doing what she likes to do, which is sing. She lives in an orphanage until she is older. Years later she is discovered by Julian Dice (Max Beesley) a “bad boy” deejay who knows the ropes in the music business. So with Dice, Billie begins an exciting but often volatile and precarious journey as she struggles through her personal and business life to become a superstar.

Glitter was one most talk about film of the fall mostly because of what going on in Mariah Carey life I am not going to say anything about that. I am going to say that I hope everything turns out good for Mariah Carey she is a good Musician and will tell how she is as a actress God bless her.

Glitter was a good movie not a great one. But good for what the film is about. Here are some good and bad points.

Good

  1. The story was good. They say it not a not a chapter out of Mariah Book. But it plays out like one.
  2. The music was very good I was always a fan of Mariah music. She is a very talented musician. This movie has all her latest songs and has a of music scenes.
  3. The cast was very good. This is Mariah breakout film. You can say she was in The Bachelor but it was a small role. This film is all her and she does a good job. I honestly cannot say she is a great actress. Because she has not been in any other movie. So only time will tell how she becomes.
  4. The ending of the film it kind of typical for this type of film. It was kind of sad.
  5. Of course Mariah looks good as she usually does. And changes more outfits then I could count. But god she looks good in every one.

Bad

1.      The film drag a little in couple of scenes.

2.      They could have change the ending.

If you are a big fan of Mariah Carey then you will love this movie Esp. the music. If you are not I think you will like it but not as much as if you were a fan. Glitter is a film you need to see. This film shows you if you try hard enough you dreams can come true.
