All For One And All For This Movie

One for all and all for one is a famous line from many of The Musketeer types of film 6 to be exact now there is a new on the list called The Musketeer. Which is a redoing of a classic tale base on the novel by Alexandre Dumas but you may be thinking not another boring remake. You are wrong this was a great film on all levels.

Justin Chambers stars as D’Artagnan, a dashing swordsman whose courage and willful nature place him at odds with powerful forces in 17th century Paris. A distinguished international cast includes Catherine Deneuve as the Queen of France, Stephen Rea as the enigmatic Cardinal Richelieu, Tim Roth as the conniving Febre and Mena Suvari as Francesca, a fiery peasant girl who claims D’Artagnan’s heart on sight.

The Musketeer was a good old fashion action movie. Here are some good and bad points about the film.

Good

  1. This type of film has been done many times before. But when you make a remake or like a remake, which this film is. You have to make it different and this film was it’s a great new version of an old version.
  2. Lately Kung Fu Movies have been a hit in the states with the hits lately like The Matrix and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Film has to copy them. But The Musketeer did not copy them at all. It did have a Kung Fu style but it did not copy of them.
  3. The story was great. How the director show the characters were great. It was the type of film you hate the villain and like the hero.
  4. The cast was very good and a good choice in the film. Tim Roth played his character very good thank god after his last film where is over acted this one he did it right. Justin Chambers did a good job as playing the hero.
  5. The trailer was very good and shows some of the action scenes but not all of the action screens.
  6. The film did not drag at all. It held my attention from start to finish.
  7. The ladder fight screen was so awesome and breathtaking it was so cool to look at and wonder how they did it.
  8. The score was very good.

There was no bad thing I could see in the film.

Overall The Musketeer was a very good film. It had the old style of filmmaking where the director cares about the film and make watching the film an experience you will never forget.
