A Film Review By Paul Perkins (Film Info Click Here)
The Title Says It All Abandon This Film
College life is not easy a lot of people face the stress of
college life everyday for Katie (Katie Holmes) is under pressure she faces
exams, completion of her thesis, and a competitive interview process, all of
which is compounded when a police detective.
Wade Handler (Benjamin Bratt) begins investigation the
two-year-old disappearance of her boyfriend, Embry (Charlie Hunnam), a young man
whose memory haunts and obsesses her. As the investigation continues, Katie is
forced to choose between past passions and new possibilities, even as Handler is
discovering surprising new facts about Embry’s final days.
Well this has been a great month for film like The
Transporter, The Ring and couple more. But of course not all films can be
good all the time and this film is one of those bad films Abandon is a
great title for it you should Abandon it because it not good at all.
The story was so slow and very predictable you knew what
the twist in the film was and the film was so slow the film was only 90 mins but
after it was over it felt like it has been 3 hours. The story could have been
better if the script was written better.
The acting was not the greatest Katie Holms may bee good in her TV Show but in the film business she has a lot to learn she was not believable at all in this movie. You post to feel for her but she was so dull in this role you just wish the film had ended.
I am keeping this review short overall this film is very bad it not worth the price of admission and if you must see it wait until video but ask yourself why.
