A Film Review By Paul Perkins
Non Stop Action
Well here a question for you everyone knows about vampire
films what is the rule on to killing him or her? They can die from sunlight;
stakes in the hearts, holy water and cross can hurt them and there is one person
who can kill them only in these two films. The person is called a day walker who
is also a vampire and can walk in the sunlight as well as night they call him
Blade.
The film is called Blade 2 it a sequel to the box
office hit Blade which is also a Marvel Comic Book. Turn to a movie.
Blade (Wesley Snipes) is half man, half vampire and consumed by a desire to
avenge the curse of his birth and save human face from a blood-drenched
Armageddon.
In this newest action-packed adventure, Blade must align
himself with a high-powered team of vampire to take on an even greater evil than
either has ever faced -- new kind of super vampire that it itself on a vicious
hunt to eradicate both races.
When a new vampire movie comes out the first thing comes to
mind I hope it is good. Most of the movie has been ok some bad but nothing
great. But when the first Blade movie came out in 1998 it was a great film with
a lot of action sword fights, gunfights and a good story and cast.
Well it is 2002 and the new film is out and it is just as
good as the first one. Here a comparison from the first one. The fight screen
are kind of better there is a lot of cool screens with Blade is fighting the
forces of nature with guns and swords. It so cools how they made the vampire
look when they die.
There is more fight screens in the new one and the cgi
stuff is better in the second one. The fist film has a better story, don’t get
me wrong the second one had a good story but it was kind of predictable. In some
scenes you kind of knew what was coming, and how the film was going to end.
The film had some comedy lines in the film. And in some of the fights
scenes they use wrestling moves “ yes you heard right Wrestling Moves) which
gave it a nice touch.
The acting was pretty much the same in both film all the
cast was great. Wesley Snipes did a great job as the day walker and did a
outstanding job in the fight screens and trust me he has a lot of fights
screens. The supporting cast was also good a lot of the comedy stuff comes from
Kris Kristofferson (Whistler) and Norman Reedus (Scud) characters.
