A Film Review By Paul Perkins
Slow Story But Great Acting
One of American problems on the road is Road Rage people
have gotten killed because they may have cut one off the road. This is premise
behind the film called Changing Lanes.
For Doyle Gibson (Samuel L.
Jackson) he is a recoving alcoholic and is trying to be a good father to his
kids. He is getting a loan from the bank so his soon to be ex wife and kids can
movie into so they won’t move to Oregon. But on the way to his court hearing
about custody of his two kids he gets in a accident with Gavin Banek (Ben
Affleck) on the FDR.
Gavin is a big time lawyer and is
late for a court case where he has to summit documentary about a client that
died. Doyle just wants to do the right thing at the accident but Gavin is late
and tells him better luck next time and takes off leaving the scenes of the
accident.
Because of what happen Doyle life
is ruin because of being late and he find the document that Gavin need in order
to win his case and not go to jail. So the two sent our to try to destroy each
other Gavin to get his document, Doyle to get his time and life back as the two
will see what each other can do to make each other life a living nightmare.
Changing Lanes
has a good story behind it about want people will do to try to make another
person life a living nightmare. The story did drag a lot but with performance by the main
actor it makes the film watch able.
The acting was very good mostly
by Samuel Jackson he did a good job as the father who is trying to make good in
his life. Ben Affleck did a good job as well and he hold up good standing next
to a veteran star. Also this had a meaning of how one father is trying to do
with his life and how there are thing trying to take him down and how he is
trying to be strong.
The supporting cast was good
Amanda Peet is one of the casts but she does not have a big part in the film.
The location of the film was good.
