Enough

A Film Review By Paul Perkins

Enough Is Enough

Domestic Abuse happens to lot of women in the US everyday, some of the women just take it and don’t report it. Some fight back and take the law in their own hands; that the premise behind Enough.

For Slim (Jennifer Lopez) an ordinary, hard working women, who have just met the man of her dream Mitch (Billy Campbell), who is a wealthy contractor worker. So he two starts a relationship together, they get married and start to raises a family. But after the birth of their daughter Grace, Slim takes notice that Mitch has a darker side one she never though she would never seen.

Terrified for her daughter Slim tries to escape the marriage, but Mitch relentlessly pursues her. She changes her name, her appearance, her very identify and goes into hiding. Only to be hunted again, no one can help her, not her friends and not even the police. But Slim has had enough of fear and running.

Walking into Enough I had another movie that it reminds me of called Sleeping with the Enemy. Now after seeing the film I can say it is just like that film just with different actors. The story was ok; nothing great and nothing that we haven’t seen before.

The acting was ok; Esp. by Jennifer Lopez or Jlow as she is called in the music world. Jennifer Lopez was much better in the other films she was in like The Wedding Planner, Out of Sight and Selena. In Enough se had the look down pack but she just did come through with the acting. She looks like she got in shape for the role. Her prize ascents look a tad bit smaller.

In Enough there was nothing you did not expect to happen and the story was predictable. The film will do well in the box office Because of the subject matter. This is a film that you can watch but don’t expect too much from the film. Called it Sleeping with the Enemy 2.
