A Film Review By Paul Perkins (Film Info Click Here)
8 Is Too Much
Trick or Treat give me something good to eat; is the saying
you hear at Halloween time. But Halloween has come early this year. But it is
not you typical Halloween it Michael Myers Halloween as Halloween
resurrection (Number 8 if you are Counting).
Just when you thought you seen the last Michael Myers film
because after number 7 we seen he had his head cut off. You be wrong if you
thought it was over because he is back to do what he does best kill. This new
installment takes place in Michael childhood house were it all started.
Now where everything is on the net a upcoming business man
has come up with a reality show called Dangertainment. Where a group of kids
must spend the night and uncover clues to why he does what he does. There
adventure is broadcast over the Internet it should be a easy assignment but evil
never dies as he come back to do what he does best.
Horror movies are not like they use to be when a new genre
is out and it a success. You can bet Hollywood will drag it out as long as they
can. There is a ton of Sequel like Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on
Elm Street and now Michael Myers has 8 under his belt or should I say knife.
How many films need to be made of one type of film. The
first two films were good then they go down hill and the last one was good and
now this. The film itself was ok not too original. The beginning of the film was
the best part. The story drag out, but it did have some funny scenes in it. The
acting was not the greatest. It had some name stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Sean
Patrick Thomas and Rapper turn actor Busta Rhymes.
Busta had a lot of the funny scenes. The only question I have is why they bring it out in July they should have release it in Oct closer to Halloween. There will be more horror film to choose from for the time period. The last film came to a good end, this one will tell you how he comes back. If you have see every other film in the series you should see this one just to say you see it.
