A Film Review By Paul Perkins
A Good Film About The Meaning of Life
What is the perfect life? Is it having a lot of money or
having a big house, or is it having a big family, and a big career, or is it
nothing at all just being healthy and alive. Everyone has different answer for
that question.
But image if someone told you that you have a week to live,
what would you do? What would you change, would you re-evaluate your values and
priorities? This is the question ask in Life or Something Like It.
For Lanie Kerrigon (Angelina Jolie) thinks she has the
perfect life. She is engaged to a famous baseball player, she has a great job at
a Seattle television station; she also has a great apartment. So she think is
all just perfect. But in life nothing is perfect as her world starts unraveling.
Because a street fortune teller (Tony Shalhoub) tells her she will die the
following week. With some other thing that he said came true. Lanie begins to
re-examine her life and priorities all in a whirlwind on-week period.
Well is the end of April and this and Jason X is the final
two for the spring and brings forward the start of the summer films. Life or
Something Like It ended the springs time films well.
The story was very good and I like how the story had a
meaning about life and what you think about life and the meaning of life. The
director did a great job of showing the main characters and the issues that the
main characters had in the film.
The acting was good by the two main characters, Angelina
Jolie and Edwards Burns had good chemistry together and was a good team. This is
a kind of a different role for Academy awards winning actress she usually plays
drams and action film. But she did a good job in this comedy-drams film. But she
does not look to good as a blond she should stick with her true color hair.
The film did not drag at all and I like how everything kind
of fell together with the main theme of the film. The film made a point about
life and what does life mean to you. The film ended very well and it all made
sense why the film ended the way it did. It make you think about your own life
and what can you change if your own life.
