A Film Review By Paul Perkins
A Good Game To Screen Transfer
Video games are one of the biggest pastimes for a lot of
kids and adults’ people play them for hours at a time. Trust me I can’t stop
playing Final Fantasy X it a great video game for the Playstation 2
system.
Since video games are very popular among kids Hollywood
want to cash in on some of that cash so they make movies base on games. Last
year was Final Fantasy it was a good movie but it was not a box office
hit, there was also Tomb Raider that was a box office hit but the film
was disappointing.
Next up to bat is Resident Evil that comes for a
very popular video games series. The film is about the Umbrella’s corporation
that have made a killer virus that has gotten lose in the air in the underground
lab called the Hive. The Red Queen, which is the computer that controls the
Hive, seals the entire facility to contain the leak, killing all the trapped
employees.
The military sends in a task force that includes Rain
(Michelle Rodriguez) and Alice (Milla Jovovich) and a group of other must try to
stop the Red Queen and find the anti-virus. But what they don’t know that
Umbrella Corporation was working on a T-virus that kills people and turn them to
the undead. So the group must kills the undead and find the virus before time
runs out as it going to be a crazy mission.
Well Resident Evil was not a bad movie it not as
good as the Final Fantasy but it much better that Tomb Raider. The
story was ok about a corporation trying to take over the world. The story start
a little slow in the beginning tells the story in the first 15 mins you be
wondering what this film is about.
But then it pick ups and kind of make up for the slow time,
then the action starts and does it starts. There is a ton of gunfights and kung
fu fights that will make you stay on the edge of your seat. The cast was good
Milla Jovovich look very good in her role and the way she kick but was good.
Michelle Rodriguez was also good in her role this is her third film, her last
two film was Girl Fight and the box office hit The Fast and the
Furious.
