Spirit

A Film Review By Paul Perkins

Another Great Kids Film

Lately kids films have been a hit in theaters and with the Critics. One particular company that is on a rolled with kids movies is Dreamworks. Last year they bring us the hit film called Shrek, this year they bring us a totally different animated film. Called Spirit “Stallion of the Cimarron).

The film follows the adventure of a wild and rambunctious, Mustang Stallion as he journeys. Through untamed American frontier. But his peaceful land get invaded by man for the first time, So Spirit defies giving up his land and be broken, even as he develops a remarkable friendship with a young Lakota brave named Little Creek.

The courageous young stallion also finds love with a beautiful paint mare named Rain on his way to becoming one of the greatest unsung heroes of the old west.

I am going to keep this review short. Any parent who takes their kids to see this film thinking it like Shrek will be in for a big surprise. The film is nothing like Shrek but it just as good as Shrek. This is unique kids film there is not taking animals or a lot of kids jokes. Most of the talking beside the army and the Indians talking..

The horses does not there is narrators by the horse but there do not talk which was a nice touch. The story was very good and had nothing that can offend kids or adults. This is a kid’s film that most of the age’s groups could like. The animation was very good and it shows how a great film company Dreamworks is and they are becoming a great film company for kid’s films.

Overall this is a film that you can take the whole family to see. Enjoy your self at the movies because this is a film you will get your money worth.
