The Hot Chick

A Film Review By Paul Perkins         (Film Info Click Here)

This Chick Is Funny

One of the hardest form of movie making is comedies. It hard to make people laugh, what funny to one person may be stupid to the next. This  year we have seen some funny films came out. Like Analyze That and a new film that is out called The Hot Chick and it can be added to the list. It is not the best comedy of the year but it is on the list as a funny film.

The Hot Chick is about a popular cheerleader in high school name Jessica (Rachel McAdams) who think she is miss perfect that everyone like her. But one of her classmates doesn't and with her voodoo powers put a curse on her. So when she wake up one morning . She find herself as a grown man, a convict name Clive (Rob Schneider) but how do she tell her friends she has become a man. As she/he tries to find out how to turn herself back to a women before being stuck as a man forever as it going to be a funny experience.

For some people you will think this is a very funny film or you may think it is stupid. Just remember it a comedy film it not post to win awards. Rob is know for some funny film like Deuce Bigalow. When I watch that film i enjoy it a lot it was very funny. He is in a lot of Adam Sandler films like The Waterboy, Big Daddy. In Rob latest film it mixes a lot of toilet humor with some funny one liners.

Can it be called one of Rob best ? No but it still is a funny film. It doesn't ask us any question it just make us laugh. The premise is ok and it had a little a point treading people the way you want to be treated. The acting was ok nothing spectacle but with this type of film you don't expect it to be the best. The cast had good chemistry together with Rob taking most of the screen time.

There is a lot of jokes in this film. All the jokes did not drag or get played out like a lot of comedies usually does. The film did not drag at all and kept it pace from start to finish.

Overall If you are looking for a funny film check out The Hot Chick today.
