Two Words: Bad Movie
Being popular in school is every kids dream. Some kids make
it some don’t. Some get picked on because they are not cool enough for the in
crowd, that the premise behind The New Guy.
For new kid in school Gil Harris (DJ Qualls) he is top on
his game on the popularity ladder. All the girls want to be with him, all the
guys got his back. Basically he got East Highland High School eating out the
palms of his hands.
But want the school doesn’t knows is that Gil has a big
secret at his previous school he was know as Diz aka Dizzy Gillespie Harrison.
Who in his old school he was consider a loser so low that he wasn’t even on
the social radar. So with the help of some unlikely friends he change his look
and way o like to play Gil as The New Guy.
Well being that this is the summer season and last week was
a big weekend for films. If you haven’t heard Spiderman made 114
million. This week it a slow time when some of the bad films come out and this
week it is The New Guy was so bad I see why it came out this week.
The idea of the story was pretty good it just the style of
the film was bad. Howe I know this is a comedy and it post to have jokes. But The
New Guy had some stupid jokes and the story got kid of stupid. The acting
was not the greatest that I had seen from a teen comedy. There are only two
things that I can say I like. One is one of the main female character has a
swimsuit try on screen, and the second is that the film is short thank god.
