Calendar Girls

A Film Review By Paul Perkins         (Film Info Click Here)

 A Nice Comedy

Age is only a number you are what you feel like. For some people going on 40 or 50 is nothing for them it just another day in their life. Well this story is base on true events.

In 1999 a group of older ladies decided they want to help charities by making a calendar, but this is no calendar you would think of. They want to pose nude on the calendar but in a respectfully way.

Calendar Girls tells the story of Chris (Helen Mirren) and Annie (Julie Walters) who are very close best friends who live in a small village in the Yorkshire Dales. They are active in the women club but when Annie husband dies of leukemia the two decide they have get the help of fellows members and decide to make a calendar to help other families who has love ones who are sick. But this Calendar they are going to be nude and because of this the town will never be the same again.

Calendar Girls was a nice comedy with a good cast and a good story and shows never let no one tell you want to do and be proud of what god has given you. The acting was pretty good with a good cast the two main actresses was the best in the film. This is a film that older people and women will like the best. The younger generation will not like this film too much. But it still is a good film with all the movies coming out for Christmas check out this good film.
