A Film Review By Paul Perkins (Film Info Click Here)
This Film is a Keeper
Every human being in the world is looking for that right person to spend the rest of their life right. Sometime it a hit or miss you may find that special person, but if that person is not the one there should be a book to tell you how to get rid of someone by doing thing you know they don't like.
For Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson) she is a dedicated reporter for Composure Magazine she has her own column called How To where she tells her readers about every thing women want to know about. But Andie has bigger plans for herself she wants to report about the world, politics and other important things; but her boss has other things for her. Her next assignment is to write a report on everything women do to drive there men away and she has to do it in ten days. She comes up with a title called How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.
So she is on a mission to find the guy to fall in love with her and then break up with her in 10 days. Her subject is Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey) a man who think he is god gift to women and he has his own assignment he has to have Andie fall in love with him so he can win a high stakes bet with his boss. This is going to be one assignment the two of them will never forget.
Walking into this film I was thinking this is going to be a chick flick that it going to be nothing but romance and tear jerking stuff. But I was wrong this is a film that men and women will like and can related to. This film was very funny, I couldn't stop laughing it had a lot of very funny scenes. With this type of film you want a great cast it makes the film believable and makes you feel for the characters.
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days had a great cast Kate and Matthew had great chemistry together to be honest they had one of the best chemistry I have seen in this type of film in a long time. When they both on the screen the screen glow they were the perfect choice and the perfect couple. Any one who like Maid in Manhattan and The Wedding Planner will like this one. Kate look very beautiful on the big screen she look so much like her mom Goldie Hawn and she had becoming a good actress her other great film was Almost Famous. Matthew did a good job in his role as well as he played the typical man who think he is god gift to women very well and had the role down pact.
The film did not drag at all and it keep it paced good, there was nothing to bad in the film that I could think of granted this is not a 5 star film. But it doesn't matter this is a film that you can take you girlfriend or boyfriend to and both of you will enjoy it. If you have met you the man or women of your dreams and wonder how happy you are going to be in life check out this film on Valentine Day and see how this couple went though and tried not to do what they did and you will have many happy years together. like this very funny romantic comedy today.
