A Film Review By Clyde Ayles
THIS ORCHID HAS WITHERED AND DIED
well, seven years after the original ANACONDA, we have ANACONDAS, THE HUNT FOR THE BLOOD ORCHID. The blood orchid is located somewhere in Borneo and is the equivalent of the fountain of youth. So you know that some greedy people will want to find this wonderful youth preserving, magic flower and use it to get rich. You know that they have to charter a boat run by a rough, tough boat owner who will wamt more than just his payment. You know that he will fall for one of the girls on this trip. You know that the giant snake will appear to give them trouble. In this case, more than one. You know that the giant snakes will look like giant puppets. In other words, there is nothing in this movie that you haven"t seen before, and maybe better.Of course, there is the scene where the Anaconda eats one of the adventurers. But even this was done better in Anaconda, when John Voight was swallowed up. The only name you might reconize here is Morris Chestnut, and for the life of me, I can't think of anything he was in before. The big star here, and the best actor is the monkey. He provides most of the fun. Wait for DVD. Gee, they might have extras about the monkey. That would be the only thing that would interest me. WELL, SEE YA AT THE MOVIES, CLYDE.
