REALLY FAR FETCHED
When someone says to me " this can never really happen", I respond,"but it's a movie." Well, this time I take that back, PAPARAZZI is so far fetched and unbelievable, it's almost funny. To think that a Paparazzi would go as far as he does in this film, well, in real life it would never get that far. Tom Sizemore ( True Romance, Black Hawk Down,) plays a photographer out to make money by taking pictures of celebritys and selling them to the tabliods. He follows the latest movie star, played by Cole Hauser. This is fine publicity for the star, until pictures are being taken of his son, who he tries to shield from the public eye. After a confrontation in which the photographer is punched by Mr. movie star, Mr. photographer vows to get even by destroying the star. This is where it gets out of hand. Three other paparazzi join in. Everyone now is out to photograph the star in all sorts of embarrassing moments. Then there are killings and car crashes and anything else you can imagine. After awhile it gets to be like a cartoon. I couldn't buy any of this hogwash.
