This Window You Want To Look In
This week in film we have two thrillers comes out both are pretty good and one of them has an actor that should have won a Oscar for Pirates of the Caribbean but he did not he is Johnny Depp and his new film is out it called Secret Window.
For successful author Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp) he keeps himself hidden in a old cabin deep in the woods to write his next masterpiece. He has begun the processing of devoice by his wife and it is one big mess in his life, it affecting his writing and it taking all his energy.
Then, when it seems as if things can't possibly get worse, a psychotic stranger named John Shooter (John Turturro) shows up at his doorstep, accuses Rainey of plagiarizing his story and demands satisfaction. Despite Rainey's efforts to placate him, Shooter becomes increasingly insistent and hostile, intimating a twisted sort of justice that could include cold-blooded murder. As the two plays cat and mouse there can only be one winner as it going to be a big chase.
Secret Window was a pretty good thriller, the story was pretty interesting and the acting was very good. Esp by Johnny Depp I think he is a great actor and never get the respect he deserved I thought very much he should gotten the Oscar for the Pirates movie. John Turturro was also great in the film as well and he is also a talented actor. In this role he reminded me of the old priest in the poltergeist films.
The film did drag a little but nothing too bad the ending of the film was good a surprise ending which we have seen in so many movies before. Any Johnny Depp fan will like this film and any fan of this type of thriller will get his or hers money worth, another good film to put on Johnny film list.
The director did a good job of showing all the characters and all the key plot points of the film. Overall Secret Window was a pretty good film to check out this weekend.
