The Girl Next Door

A Film Review By Paul Perkins         (Film Info Click Here)

I Wish She Was My Neighbor

What the biggest thing you remember about from High School, is it your homework, your friends you hang out with or is it the girls or guys. What do you remember?

Teen comedies are a dime a dozen, there have been a lot of teen comedy on the big screen over the years like Old School, Road Trip, Eurotrip and many others. They are all the same basically well when one comes out that is different you will say wow.

The Girl Next Door is about 18 years old Matthew Kidman (Emile Hirsch) he is an A student who has never gotten in trouble, never risk anything. It like the old saying goes never say never because his life is just about to go upside down. He has just got a new next door neighbor who is beautiful and very hot name Danielle (Elisha Cuthbert).

Who takes Matthew breath away she seems innocent but she holds a dark secret. She used to be a porn star, Danielle helps Matthew to emerge from his shell and start to live life as he discovers. That sometimes you have to risk everything for the person you love.

The Girl Next Door was a very good film which took me by surprise I thought it would be a typical comedy but it was not it was a comedy with a nice story behind it. This is not just  a film with a lot of T&A don’t get me wrong I like a lot of  T&A but I what a story as well and the film has just that.

The acting was pretty good which a surprise in this film was also. The two main stars had very good chemistry together and work great together. The film was very funny and had some great comedy screens. The main actor Elisha who is in one of my favorite TV show called 24 which is a great show. Overall if you look for good comedies this weekend check out The Girl Next Door.
