The Incredibles

LOOKS LIKE A JOB FOR...........

THE INCREDIBLES  is another Pixar animated movie from Disney.  It features a league of superheroes who do good deeds and stop crime. But in the process of doing this, they cause a lot of property damage, so the owners of the damaged property fill the courts with a lot of lawsuits against the city. Thus, the government outlaws the crime fighters, sending them on sort of a witness protection community where they will hold jobs as civilians and never wear their super outfits again.      We now jump fifteen years later where the story follows former super hero Mr. Incredible (the voice of CRAIG T. NELSON, from TV's Coach), his wife, Elastigirl (voice of HOLLY HUNTER, from The Piano), and his best friend, Frozone(voice of SAMUEL L. JACKSON). We learn that they have been sneaking off and secretly fighting crime.   But soon things change when Mr. Incredibles archenemy, Syndrome puts his and his family's life in danger. Soon the whole family are in super costumes. There's teenage Violet, 11 year old Dash, and 2 year old Jack-Jack.    There are some pretty violent battle scenes that may be too intense for little children. So beware. I had one minor problem with the animation. On today's big wide screens you can do so much with backgrounds, and wide views of the countryside. The film makers chose to do too many close-ups of the characters, this can become boring after a while.   The movie is directed by BRAD BIRD, who helmed the wonderful Iron Giant.  SEE YA AT THE MOVIES     CLYDE
