The Manchurian Candidate

A Film Review By Paul Perkins         (Film Info Click Here)

Another Great Performance By Denzel Washington

One of the greatest actor of this century is Denzel Washington  every time he makes a picture you can make a sure fire bet that the film is going to be good.

His new film is out and it called The Manchurian Candidate and the time is just right for this film to come out. It about a former Medal of Honor sergeant Raymond Shaw (Liev Schreiber who is campaign to be the next US Vice President.

For Us Army Major Bennett Marco (Denzel Washington) he can’t sleep at night and to be honest he does not want to. Because he has bad nightmares about what happen in the Kuwaiti desert and he thinks there is a bigger conspiracy that Raymond Shaw may be involved as the Raymond campaign to become the next vice President.

Well this has been a very busy week in the movie theater there are 4 films opening this weekend with a little taste for everyone but to be hones this is the best film of the this week. This is one of those types of film that it lures you into the story and grabs you and not let you go until it is over.

This story was very good but it not an original concept because this film is a remake of a classic film that stared Frank Sinatra. This time around it Star Denzel Washington, Liev Schreiber and Meryl Streep.

I never seen the old one but if it like this new version I cannot wait to check it out this film was one roller coaster of a movie. The acting was outstanding of course Denzel shines in this film just like he did in Man on Fire with I think Man on Fire is one film he should get a Oscar for because that film he was perfect.  In The Manchurian Candidate he did just as good as his other film. But what do you expect from Denzel he is a great actor.

The supporting cast was outstanding as well and the story held my attention from start to finish. There were not slow parts as the film kept it pace from start to finish. If you are looking for a good film to check out this weekend look no further then The Manchurian Candidate.
