TENNIS, ANYONE?

There have been many films about Football, Baseball, and various other sports, but I don't recall many about Tennis. Now Tennis can be an interesting sport if you play it and sometimes if you watch itm but a n hour and a half movie, I was not too sure. But director Richard Loncraine has done his job well, he made an interesting movie about the sport. He combines the said sport with a love story and the right stars to portray the lead roles. English star PAUL BETTANY plays a tennis pro who is ready for his big moment, he is selected to plat at Wimblleton, the big one. His only problem is he meets and falls in love with a rising Tennis star who could be his competition, a beautiful young girl named Lizzie, played by KIRSTEN DUNST, going from super hero to super Tennis player. There is a major block in this romance, and that is Lizzie's father, played by SAM NEILL, from Jurassic Park. He want's his daughter to have no   distractions from her game.

Now I don't really watch much Tennis, but from what i saw in this movie, the stars and director must have. The movements were very well choreographed, the game  is   like a well rehearsed dance. The two lovers are told to stay away from each other, but you and I know that they will not listen to any of this. They get together in a hotel room, only to be interrupted by an event via live television, a very funny scene. This film is not one of the best you have ever seen, but it does have charm and personality. I think you will leave the theatre smiling.          SEE YA AT THE MOVIES     CLYDE
