A Film Review By Clyde Ayles
SOME MOMENTS
In "Cheaper By The Dozen 1" , another remake, we met the Baker family. Get it? A baker's dozen. A family of 12 kids headed up by STEVE MARTIN and BONNIE HUNT as dad and mom. All the kids are back, lead by TOM WELLING (t.v.'s Smallville) and HILLARY DUFF' who looks like she.s starving to death. This time out they all go on a lakeside summer fling. There dad runs into an old schoolmate who was always competing against him.The ever funny EUGENE LEVY plays this role to perfection. Now they will compete again. This time in a boat race featuring the entire Baker family and Levy's family, his new young wife (CARMEN ELECKTRA, pretty but still untalented, and eight kids. We also have a couple of dumb subplots with Welling falling for Levy's daughter, and Martin.s eldest daughter, who will soon have a baby, argueing with dad on the name of the baby. There are a eew amusing moments, done better by Chevy Chase in the Vacation films, but most of the time it is slow and could have been a half hour sitcom. SEE YA AT THE MOVIES CLYDE
