A Film Review By Clyde Ayles
Pure Magic
The fourth film in the popular series is just that, pure magic. All the familiar characters are back. Rubeus (ROBBIE COLTRANE), Albus (MICHAEL GAMBON), Lucius (JASON ISAACS) and all the other folks who have made this a great series. This time around, The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is preparing to host the Triwizard Tournament, a deadly competition that only three of the bravest students over the age of 17 are chosen to enter. They are chosen by writing their names on paper and throwing them into a goblet of fire, which then makes it's choice by spitting out the chosen names. The three are chosen, but then, by supernatural circumstances, Harry's name appears as the fourth. Sixteen-year-old DANIEL RADCLIFFE returns as Harry Potter. Also back is EMMA WATSON as the cute Hermione Granger, who is finding other feelings as she excepts an invitation to the gala Yule ball by a handsome but older participant in the tournament. This does not please Harry and buddy Ron Weasley (RUPERT GRINT, also back in his role). This film is darker and more violent than the others, hence the PG-13 rating. The effects are as usual, outstanding. You will be mesmerized by Harry's battle with the dragon that is protecting a magic egg that reveals further rules of the game. This time around the director is MIKE NEWELL (Donnie Brasco, a great film starring Al Pacino and Johnny Depp). This is sure to follow the last three films as a favorite of moviegoers SEE YA AT THE MOVIES CLYDE
