HELD HOSTAGE AT THEATRE
Well, I entered the theater on a Monday evening for a 7:45 showing of "Hostage” BRUCE WILLIS' new action mess. I think I was there for three or four days. Poor Bruce, please make another "Die Hard", at least you will have a hit movie. You need one bad. After some clever opening titles, and a promising beginning, this turns into a complete mess. It concerns three punks (JONATHAN TUCKER, MARSHALL ALLMAN, and BEN FOSTER) who follow a SUV home. They crash the house of the owner, (KEVIN POLLACK) and hold him, his son and daughter hostage. This is where Jeff Talley (Willis) is called in. He is the police chief of this small community. In turn, he calls on this county sheriff's office for help. During this, he is dragged into more mess by a masked gunman who is holding Talley's wife and daughter hostage. They want him to get a DVD that is in Pollack's house that can link him and his buddies to organized crime. All this results in all the screaming, shooting, crying and dead bodys that you can stand. And while this farce is going on, we have the loudest music to shatter your ears. Maybe they do this so you will forget the mess you are watching. Be sure to notice Jonathan Tucker, the head hostage taker. His performance is so corny; I thought I was watching a cartoon. This junk was directed by Florent Siri, who should be ashamed.
