A Film Review By Clyde Ayles
A LOT OF FUN
In the original "Miss Congeniality" Gracie Hart was an F.B.I, agent who went undercover in a beauty pageant. After this stint, she became a celebrity making it impossible to continue as a undercover agent. The only turn now is to become the "face" of the F.B.I. This means a makeover and guest shots on t.v.and warning people about crime. But just as she is adjusting to her new life, two old friends are kidnapped and held for ransom. This forces her into action once more. She must save them. But this time she has a burden to carry. The F.B.I. has sent a bodyguard along with her. Alas, this bodyguard has some serious anger management issues. SANDRA BULLOCK is back as Gracie Hart., and I must say, she is funny and adorable. REGINA KING, recently in "Ray" is the bodyguard. She is affective, but sometimes I think she goes a little overboard. There are some very funny acts here, such as King impersonating Tina Turner I’m a gay showplace, or the guest stint on Live with Regis and Kelly, or a clash with Dolly Parton In a hotel lobby. Also on hand is TREAT WILLIAMS as the head F.B.I.agent in Vegas who wants Gracie off the case, and WILLIAM SHATNER, returning as the pageant m.c. The film keeps picking up as it goes on and the last half hour is not to be missed. Also stay for the end credits to see some very funny outtakes. SEE YA AT THE MOVIES CLYDE
