Syriana

A Film Review By Clyde Ayles

TENSE DRAMA

In "Syriana"  GEORGE CLOONEY turns in a right on the money performance as a C.I.A. operative investigating terrorism in the middle east in this tense political thriller.  As he does, he becomes aware of corruption all around him .  Prices for oil are being manipulated to favor the terrorist.  Along the way he becomes obsessed in finding a missle that he allowed to be taken by enemies of America.  The film was directed by STEPHEN GAGHAN, who won the oscar for his screenplay of "Traffic", and he advices you to pay close attention to the plot which can be complicated at times. I agree.  But you will not be let down. The film is edge of your seat moments and fine performances.   It has one hell of a cast.  MATT DAMON, giving a great job, AMANDA PEET, as Damon's wife, CHRIS COOPER, WILLIAM HURT, and CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER.   Put your thinking cap on, get your popcorn, and enjoy. This is a real thiller.     SEE YA AT THE MOVIES   CLYDE     What Did You Think About The Film E-mail us Your Comments About The Film
