The 40 Year Old Virgin

A Film Review By Paul Perkins

A Film With Heart and Soul and Plenty of Laughs

Finding the special person to live the rest of your life with is very hard to do. Some times when you think you found that person every thing changes and then you are in the hunt again. But when you do you open your heart to that person and you give that person everything you have to offer and you hope they will do the same. One thing you don’t see a lot nowadays is some one who is 40 years old and never had sex. That is the premise behind this new funny film.

The film centers on Andy (Steve Carell) a stock employee at an entertainment store, who in his spare time collects rare toy figures and play video games. His life is a little boring he does not have a girlfriend or a life. He has not had sex with any women you may be saying he is a late bloomer. He is not' he is 4 decades of a late bloomer' he is a virgin and his co workers find out. So now it the co-workers plan to get him laid as it going to be one of the hardest days in his life.

The 40 Year old Virgin was one funny movie and it can be up there with the big boys of comedy films like There Something about Mary. The story was very funny and sad at the same time because of how Andy life is it just so sad. He is a big nerd but with a kind heart like most nerds are (like me). The story is about 2 hours long and to be honest not once was I looking at my watch. The main thing good about the film is the comedy lines and the acting Steve Carell who stole the show and was outstanding in the role.

I am going to keep this review short overall The 40 Year old Virgin was one funny film and to be honest this was a good week for films. So if you are looking for a comedy film look no further than this film check it out today
