A Film Review By Paul Perkins
This Fog Is Thick
Well it is that time again when the kids will go out and trick, treating, and Haunted Hayrides and Houses Opens up to scary everyone. In the Multiplex Hollywood brings out there scary movie looking to scary the hell out of you.
Fist up to bat is one that was a classic John Carpenter film which is now available on DVD so check it out at you local video store like Five Star Video. The film was call The Fog and the film was ok not an instant classic horror film. Like Friday the 13th or other classic horror films.
That was then now there is a new film out which is a remake of the 1979 film and of course it is all called The Fog but this time around John Carpenter did not direct it. The Fog centers on a small town called Antonio Bay, a terrifying and malevolent force hidden within a thick and deadly fog terrorizes the local residents. Shrouded by the mist is a ghastly mystery of merciless revenge, one that the town’s inhabitants would do well to unravel — before it is too late.
Before seeing this film I had to check out the 1979 version which was an so so film could have been better esp. by who the director is. Therefore, you think why they want to make a remake of it hopefully to make it better.
In addition, guess what it was better then the 1979 version this version they centers on who are the ghost and where they come from which makes a better story. The acting was ok nothing Oscar winning but in horror film the acting is usually not top notch. There were some good scary moments where I jump out of my seat and of course cover my eyes.
Overall, I am going to keep this review short. The Fog was a decent horror film to check out for Halloween but in two weeks the big horror film will be out and I hope that one is good it is also a sequel, for now Check out The Fog and get ready for some jumpy scenes.
