A Film Review By Clyde Ayles
DIESEL FUEL HELPS SOME
The Pacifier is one of those cute little movies the kids get a kick out of. Once you get past the pre-opening credit scenes, with some fast paced violent scenes. We start out with a group of Navy Seals, led by hard edged commando Shayne West (VIN DIESEL) as they shoot down a helicopter, wipe out four gunmen on jet skis, and bomb a boat. Oh yes, they save Plummer, a kidnapped scientist. His kidnappers are after a very important invention called Ghost. They are trying to find its secret code. Well, after some of this and some of that Plummer is killed. Now we jump to Plummer's house where Shayne is asked to watch the children as Plummer's wife and a navy intelligence officer travel to Geneva to open a safety deposit box that contains the code/password. So now we turn into The Brady Bunch where Alice's cousin ran the house like the military, Arnold’s Kindergarten Cop, and some Sound of Music. The kids look like they are having a good time. Teenage Zoe (BRITTANY SNOW from TV’s American Dreams) teenage Seth (MAX THIERIOT from Catch That Kid) preteen Lulu (MORGAN YORK from Cheaper By The Dozen) topped off by little Peter and Baby Tyler.. We also meet the school. idiot vice principal Everybody Loves Raymond's BRAD GARRETT) who is one of the best parts in this movie. In between this we go back and forth to the Swiss bank to see how mom (FAITH FORD) is doing in her quest. Along the way we also meet the school principal (Gilmore Girls' LAUREN GRAHAM) and a Looney house keeper (CAROL KANE). There are some fun moments when the kids are on the screen. Keep an eye on Morgan York, this little cutie is going places, SEE YA AT THE MOVIES CLYDE
