PERFECT FIT
OK, so it's a chick flick, which cares, this is a really nice little movie. "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is about four young girls who grow up as teenagers together. One summer they go their different ways. One to soccer camp, one to meet her estranged father, one overseas, and one to make a movie. But they have one bond that keeps them together, a pair of jeans that somehow fits them all. The cast all works well. ALEXES BLEDEL, from TV’s "Gilmore Girls", AMBER TAMBLYN, from TV’s "Joan of Arcadia", BLAKE LIVELY, and AMERICA FERRERA, who is also in the very good "Lords of Dogtown". During their adventures they meet people who change their lives. Alexes meets a young man who's family has been feuding with hers for years, there by putting a strain on their romance. Amber meets a young girl who attaches herself to her hiding the fact that she is dying. America learns her dad is about to remarry and feels she doesn't fit in. And Blake falls for her soccer instructor to no avail. All the while the pants are shared by the girls via mail. They feel this is their lucky friendship bond. Keep your eye on JENNA BOYD from "The Missing" as the wise cracking twelve year old that plays the young girl who hangs with Amber. I think you will see more of her in the future. The film is based on a book by Anne Brashares. SEE YA AT THE MOVIES CLYDE
