A Nightmare Before Christmas In 3D

A Film Review By Clyde Ayles

STILL A GREAT MOVIE

In 1993 TIM BURTON treated us to a very cahrming film all done in stop motion animation about a group of goulish creatures who try to make Christmas a scary experience for all the boys and girls. Jack Skellington and his group from Halloweentown kidnap Santa Claus. Jack takes over the reins and makes Christmas a disaster. The toys are attacking the children. When he realizes his mistake, he releases Old St. Nick and things return to normal.                      The animation was and still is a delight. The unbeleivable charming and haunting soundtrack by DANNY ELFMAN and the voices of CHRIS SARANDON, CATHERINE O'HARA and WILLIAM HICKEY all add to the charm.    Now Disney has rereleased it in a few theatres in 3D just in time for Halloween The film stiils has all the charm as before, but the 3D leaves something to be desired. Many times through out the showing the 3D just does not work. But in the long run, it is still great to see the film again.     Four stars for the movie, two stars for the 3D process.     SEE YA AT THE MOVIES   CLYDE
