Great Fun

IN 2002 we were introduced to some very funny, lovable prehistoric animals named Manny the mammoth (voiced by RAY ROMANO), Diego the sabertoothed tiger (DENNIS LEARY), and Sid the sloth (JOHN LEGUIZAMO).  Well, they are back and we are blessed. And let us not forget Scrat, the little part squirrel, part rodent who steals every scene he is in as he tries to get that elusive acorn that he wants so bad. This time they are joined by a spunky female mammoth named Ellie (QUEEN LATIFAH, who I adore). Ellie was raised by possums and so she thinks she is one of them. She even travels with her two "brothers", two very mischievous little possums as they join the trek across the far end of the valley to stop trouble as they discover that a giant ice dam that is holding back the sea is melting . This will flood the peaceful valley that they live in along with many other animals.  As this is happening, a romance begins with Ellie and Manny.    Interspread throughout we see poor little Scrat's frustrating attemps to secure his acorn.  There are some really side splitting scenes, like when Sid is mistaken for the fire god by a valley of sloths. Or when Scrat enters acorn heaven.  Take the family for an evening of fun.  You will love it as much as the kids.    SEE YA AT THE MOVIES    CLYDE
