A Film Review By Paul Perkins

Throw It Back In

In Music there are one hit wonders musicians that had one hit song and never had one since then. That saying goes for movie directors as well,  one who tops my list now is M Night Shyamalan we will get to him in a min onto this film in hand.

The new film is called Lady In The Water and it centers on Cleveland Heep (Paul Giamatti) has been quietly trying to disappear among the burned-out lightbulbs and broken appliances of the Cove apartment complex. However on the night that irrevocably changes his life, Cleveland finds someone else hiding in the mundane routine of the modest building – a mysterious young woman named Story (Bryce Dallas Howard), who has been living in the passageways beneath the building’s swimming pool. Cleveland discovers that Story is actually a “narf” – a nymph-like character from an epic bedtime story who is being stalked by vicious creatures determined to prevent her from making the treacherous journey from our world back to hers.

I was walking into this theater hoping for a come back for the director after all the others film he made that sucks so bad. Case in point The Village, Unbreakable and Signs. Now after I saw it can I say it was good? Hell no it was awfully it was so slow and for some people it too confusing. This has to one of his worst films he need to go back what he is good at seeing dead people. I wish, he would just make a film about death I bet any amount of money it will be a great film.

This is post to be a bed time story but I don't know any kid who would like this story. It to confusing for any little kid to understand it. So I don't think this film will like by the kids or adults. It just so dame slow i hated it a lot i wish it was a lot better. The acting was not that good either you would think the acting would be much better for the cast that in the film. Overall this is one film that is not worth the price of adult tickets and to be honest it not worth the price of the video rentals.
