A Film Review By Paul Perkins
Abandon Ship
Well the second big film of the summer is out and it not a new film it a
remake of a classic film. The film is called Poseidon and it another
disaster type of movie but this times it on a cruise ship.
When a rogue wave capsizes a luxury cruise ship in the middle
of the North Atlantic Ocean, a small group of survivors fined
themselves unlikely allies in a battle for their lives.
Poseidon
is the second film of the summer and to be honest this film is not
one of the best films of the summer granted the summer has just
begun. Last week Mission Impossible 3 was a better film as I write
this it did a much better job at the box office.
The film is nothing we have seen before in a disaster film
this film tries in a sense to be like Titanic but without the love
story element. I gave this film 3 and half stats mostly because when
I seen this film I seen it on the big IMAX screen. If you have not
seen a film in IMAX you don’t know what you are missing. This film
is a 2 and half star film the story does get a little too far fetch.
Some of the acting was pretty bad mostly by some of the
A-list stars. I seen this film twice once to review and the second
with my friends and when it was over my friends said this was one of
the worst films of the year. I won’t say it the worst of the year so
far R.V and House of the Dead 2 has that title. But if it was not
for IMAX version it would be on the bad films list so far for the
year. So if you have to see the film check it out on the big IMAX
screen.
