FUN AT TIMES
After "Scary Movie 3" It had to get better. Well it did, but not by much. Oh
there are some funny spoofs on "War Of The Worlds", "Saw" and "Saw 2", "The
Grudge" and others, but a lot of it is predictable and mildly amusing. Again
we have Cindy Campell (played again by ANNA FARIS, whom I had the pleasure of
meeting at a screening of "Hot Chick". She is very sweet and a good actress, I
wish they would give her a chance to show it in a meatier role. REGINA HALL has
returned as her buddy. CRAIG BIERKO does a good spoof on Tom Cruise in "War Of
The Worlds" and Cruise's appearence on Oprah. The standout is the great LESLIE
NIELSEN as the president. He still has it. There are the usual cameos. Two are
by my favorite funnymen, CHRIS ELLIOT and ANTHONY ANDERSON. Thankfully it runs
less than one and a half hours.You can only stretch this kind of joke so far.
It was directed by JERRY ZUCKER (Airplane). Is he running out of steam? SEE
YA AT THE MOVIES CLYDE.
