A Film Review By Clyde Ayles

See It

Sure, "Stick It" is a rehash of "Bring It On", and it is from the same writer. But this time instead of cheerleading, we have gymastics.  But it is a nice , watchable movie that has a nice ending and teaches us a few leasons.   JEFF BRIDGES is a tough no nonsense trainer of girls who want to go on to be champians.  MISSY PEREGRYM ( looking a lot like Hilary Swank) is a rebel who is sent to his training camp as punishment for trespassing on a constuction site with her two goofy Bill and Ted type pals.  the rest is predictable nut fun.  You know she is going to rebel against the coach and his orders, you know that she will run up against a high and mighty type (played to the hilt by VANESSA LENGIES) who will put her down at every chance she gets.     The gymastics are well staged, the acting very good.  The writer,JESSICA BENDINGER, also directed.   Take your young daughters, they will learn a lot from this film.        SEE YA AT THE MOVIES    CLYDE.
