A GOOD LESSON IS LEARNED

There are bullys who like to pick on the little guy. They take advantage because they are bigger and stronger. But one day even the little guy gets his justice.  Thus the story of 10 year old Lukas (voiced by ZACH TYLER EISEN) who is constantly being picked on by a big bully. So he takes out his revenge on the poor little ants by stepping on them and flooding their hill with a hose.  But one day the ants get their revenge. With the help of a magic potion that is sprayed on Lukas by wizard ant Zoc (NICOLAS CAGE) while he is sleeping causes the boy to schrink down to the size of an ant. He will be punished by working in the ant colony and getting to know what it is like to be a little defenseless creature. He is put under the watchfull eye of nurse ant Hova (JULIA ROBERTS) . He learns what it is like to be attacked by a hungry frog and beetles and flies. Soon he learns the lesson of compassion and proceeds to help save the ants from an exterminator.                                     There are some very inpressive scenes as when Lukas is swallowed by a frog and lands in his stomach, not unlike Disney's "Pinocchio" with Monstro the whale.                                             Yes, this is another c.g.i. animated film, but it works.  the rest of the cast consists of MERYL STREEP, PAUL GIAMATTI, and REGINA KING. JOHN A. DAVIS directed the film produced by TOM HANKS.from a story that Hanks would read to his son . SEE YA AT THE MOVIES   CLYDE
