A
Film Review By Paul Perkins
Don't Believe the
Hype
I am not one who goes to church every Sunday I work
on Sundays, but I believe in God and pray to him every night. But
everything about that is going on because of this movie needs to
stop. This is a movie it not real it a fiction movie base on a
fiction book so enough with all the talk about it.
For anyone who has not heard anything about the film
it base on a bestselling conversional book called The Da Vinci Code.
The film is center on
Famed
symbologist Professor Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) is called to the
Louvre museum one night where a curator has
been murdered, leaving behind a mysterious trail of symbols and
clues. With his own survival at stake, Langdon, aided by the police
cryptologist Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), unveils a series of
stunning secrets hidden in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, all
leading to a covert society dedicated to guarding an ancient secret
that has remained hidden for 2000 years.
This review is
coming from a person who never read any part of the book this film
is base on. I am reviewing this film base on entertainment value not
base on is this film has any truth to it. First all this is not true
anyone who knows their religion knows the true origins of Jesus so
if this film makes you think twice about your religion then you are
not that strong in your religion. No more about that subject now on
to the film itself.
With a big
Hollywood Director and a big Hollywood Actor then you must be saying
to yourself this is going to be an outstanding motion picture. Well
you think that you will be wrong this film is not outstanding it is
an average film.
What may this film
just a regular film is the length it just a little too long the
film itself is about 2 and half hours and in some of the scenes it
seems like the film was 3 hours. I wish they cut down some of the
scenes in the film it would be a better film.
The acting was good
by the main stars of the film Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou who was
great working together. This film is like an Indian Jones treasure
hunt movie with more of the religion theme. People told me after the
screening that the movie is just like the book but longer. I cannot
come pare this film to the book being I have not read the book.
So fans of the
book should see this movie and judge for them to see if it better
than the book. For everyone else who is like me never read the book
check it out to see what all the talk is about and judge for you.
And remember this film is a film not real life so everyone calm down
about it.
