It Could Have Been Better

Well it now the Christmas season and the start of the holiday films and of course to keep the holiday flowing correctly. The new film that is releasing this week in theaters is called The Holiday.

Iris (Kate Winslet) is in love with a man who is about to get married to another woman. Across the Globe Amanda (Cameron Diaz) realizing that the man she is in love with has been unfaithful. Two women who has never met and lives 6000 miles apart, find themselves in the same exact same place. They met online at a home exchange website and impulsively switch homes for the holiday.

This week there is a wide range of films you have this film for the couples or females, then there is Apocalypto for the action fan, there is unaccompanied minors for the kids and Blood Diamond for the Older Crowed. The Holiday was a cute romantic comedy I like the idea of the film and how the two women switch their life for two weeks to get away from their crazy life.

The acting of the film was good but I think they should have chosen someone else instead of Jack Black as his role. In other comedy film he is very funny but in this film he tries so hard to make us laughs he overdoes it. The other thing that hurt this film is the length the film is about 2 hr and 10 mins which is too long. I good romantic comedy should be about 1 hr 45 mins. If it was shorter it would be a much better picture. Don’t get me wrong the film is good but it could have been a much better movie.

Overall this is the holiday season and there will be a ton of film opening in the next few weeks and if you looking for a good romantic comedy look no further than the holiday.
