A Film Review By Paul Perkins
Why, Why, Why
The new thing in Hollywood is to make remaking
base on older classic once in a while they get it right like The
Texas Chainsaw Massacre and sometime here they get it wrong. In 1976
a film came out that scary audience all over the world it was called
The Omen and it became a classic of course they have to bring it out
again and of course on 6-6-06.
Many believe the prophecy from the Book of Revelation provides a map
to a terrifying future…or it presents fragments of history that have
come to life in our time. The signs, they claim, are all around us:
terrorist attacks, extreme weather… the list goes on.
The passage specifically points to the arrival of the Anti-Christ,
who is branded with the numerical sequence “666”: the mark of the
Beast. The Anti-Christ will receive his power directly from Satan to
establish a counterfeit kingdom on earth, signaling the beginning of
Armageddon
Walking into The Omen I hoped for a good horror film I have never
seen the 1976 version before so I figure I can see this film without
comparing it to the 1976 film. So after seeing it I can say it was
bad. I happen to see the 1976 after seeing this one and that one was
good slow at times but still much improvement from this horror
version.
The film was such so slow and it was so dull it had only two good
jump screen that made, be jump out of my seat. The acting also was
not that good either the kid they had played the little devil did
not fit the part he was nothing like the kid in the 1976 version.
Overall The Omen was a lamb remake and makes other remake look good
in comparison.
