A Film Review By Paul Perkins
So Bad It Hurts
Everyone always tells me
that people would love to have my job of watching movies and to be
hones when a film is great it is the best job in the world to have.
They a movie comes along like When a Stranger Calls and This week
new film called The Pink Panther that makes you hate your job.
A world-famous soccer coach has been murdered and his priceless ring
has been stolen - a ring set with the stunning diamond known as the
Pink Panther. The French government needs a master detective to
solve the crime and recover the gem...but he's not available, so
they recruit Inspector Jacques Clouseau. Comic superstar Steve
Martin stars as Clouseau in an all-new adventure of THE PINK
PANTHER. A stunning pop star (Beyoncé), a soccer player, a Chinese
assassin - who committed the crime? And can anyone solve the case?
Clouseau and his partner, Ponton (Reno), must unmask the murderer
and keep their boss, Dreyfus (Kline), from taking credit for the
victory, all without bringing the French legal system to a
screeching halt. Get ready to be tickled pink.
The new thing in Hollywood is remaking classic films they should
never be remade case in point this film called The Pink Panther. I
am a big Steve Martin fan but god this film was awful why Steve, why
make this movie. The story was ok nothing to write home about. The
acting was so bad I could have done a better job myself. The jokes
were so lame you would think with a great comedian as Steve Martin
the lines would be better.
I counted 4 good laughs and one of them were shown in the movie
trailer. This is one point the trailer shows how bad the movie is
going to be. The acting was pretty bad the only good about the
acting was the music numbers by Beyonce Knowles who of course look
great in the movie but her acting was horrible nothing like her last
great film called Fighting Temptations.
The Pink Panther is the second worst film of 2006 next to What a
Stranger Calls I hope this does not start a trend with bad films
coming out one after another.
