A Film Review By Paul Perkins Very Funny and Raunchy Comedy Movies are the Hardest form of entertainment because what makes me laugh not make you laugh. So when choosing a comedy movie to make you have to take a lot of things into consideration. Norbit is a new comedy that is very funny but it may have some people mad because of the subject matter. Norbit Centers on Norbit (Eddie Murphy), who was brought up by Mr. Wong (Eddie Murphy) at the Golden Wonton Restaurant and Orphanage. There, Norbit met his true soulmate, the lovely Kate (Thandie Newton). The two became inseparable – that is, until Kate was adopted and left Norbit to begin her new life. One day, the lonely and easily intimidated nine year old Norbit is rescued on the school playground from the taunts of three bullies by hefty Rasputia (Eddie Murphy), age ten, who wields a mean right hook. As Norbit and Rasputia grow up, they marry and Norbit becomes part of her family. Norbit reminded me of a couple of movies that came out over the years one was called The Nutty Professor which also stars Eddie Murphy, Big Momma House which stars Martin Lawrence. Norbit was very funny and very raunchy but I think The Nutty Professor was a much better film overall. I like the idea of the film and the inner meaning of the film. This film will have some controversy because some people going to say it makes fun of fat people. But it does a little but this not just a film about fat jokes this film does have a inner meaning about finding your true love and the meaning of love. Eddie Murphy loves film where he can play multiply characters and is this film he plays all shorts of characters. Most of the characters were funny. Granted most of them you have seen him played before. The supporting cast was good in this film of course Thandie Newton was very beautiful as she usually does and it make up for the scary scenes you will seen in this movie. This is one disgusting scene that was horrible to watch I lost my appetite because of the scene. Overall Norbit was a very funny
film that will make you talk about it after you see it also this film
