The Mist A Film Review By Paul Perkins Creepy As It Can Get Horror film are a dime a dozen and they are all the same horrible and lame. When one comes out and it is pretty good you have to open your eyes and check it out. Well we have a good horror film out this week. Which this week there are a ton of new film opening in the theaters this film we are taking a look at is called The Mist and it the horror film for this week. You will see couple of horror films open over the holiday season. Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumors point to an experiment called the 'The Arrowhead Project' conducted at a nearby top-secret military base, but questions as to the origins of the deadly vapor are secondary to the group's overall chances for survival. Retreating to a local supermarket, Drayton and the survivors must face-off against each other before taking a united stand against an enemy they cannot even see! The Mist was one very creepy and scary film I could not keep my eyes off the screen as well as between my fingers, there are many things in this film that will make you jump out of your seat. This movie is like other great Stephen King books turns in movies. The story was very good but you expect that from this director who has made some great film and also was nominated for some Oscars because of them. One of his great film was The Shawshank Redemption. So walking into The Mist I had some mix hopes, one side of my brain was saying he did make some great films and my other side was saying this is a horror film and most horror films lately have not been that good. So I am in the theater waiting for the film to start I was praying to god to make this a good film. Guess What? It was good I really like it the film had a great story. The acting was pretty good as well which is a surprise most horror film has some very bad acting. I like the director showing us each of the main stars of the films and how they are interact with each others. The film did not drag at all and held my attention from the start to the finish. The Cgi of the monster look good and very scary looking. This film does have one of the most mess up ending in the history of film, this was one great way to end a movie. Overall The Mist was one very creepy and scary movie that everyone who like these type of film will like this one check it out today. |
