A Film Review By Paul Perkins

Some Laughs Buy No Chemistry

This is the season for all the holiday movies coming our way. The first one is called Four Christmases which is a nice topic but there are problems will tell you in a sec. When upscale, happily unmarried San Francisco couple Kate and Brad find themselves socked in by fog on Christmas morning, their exotic vacation plans morph into the family-centric holiday they had, until now, gleefully avoided. Out of obligation--and unable to escape--they trudge to not one, not two, but four relative-choked festivities, increasingly mortified to find childhood fears raised, adolescent wounds reopened... and their very future together uncertain.

As Brad counts the hours to when he can get away from their parents, step-parents, siblings and an assortment of nieces and nephews, Kate is starting to hear the ticking of a different kind of clock. And by the end of the day, she is beginning to wonder if their crazy families' choices are not so crazy after all.

Well I love Christmas movie more than the holiday itself I guess because of my divorce I was very big for the holiday but after me and my ex wife split it became a lonely holiday and I am usually in the movies during that time of the year. So when the new season started with Four Christmases I said tis the season but this film was a little bit disappointing . Because when you look at a Christmas movie you want it to be funny and make you all warm inside.

The Idea of the film good I like the meaning of the film and the length of the film was just right about 84 mins and not a sec too long. The Problem with the film is the two main stars of the film you would think with this type of role you think the main start would have perfect chemistry together but you would guess wrong.  Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon who had no chemistry together at all. Chemistry between a Flea and A Dog is better than the two main stars of the film.

The supporting actors was better than the main stars of the film. This is some big name stars in this film and you think that would have save the film but you would guess wrong. There is some funny moment of the film that made it watchable a little but the stars hurt the film the most and that why I gave it 2 1/2 stars instead of 3 or better. Overall there is a lot of film that is coming out over the thanksgiving holiday if you must see it check it out during a mid-day matinee.
