The Big question every religious person ask is
there life after death. I believe in ghost and the afterlife the
way I look at it there has to be a Heaven and I know it has to
be better than this place. I feel if a ghost is haunting someone
or something he or she has some unfinished business on earth and
it much be completed before heading to the big home in the sky.
So image going in for a test that is one of
the most unpleasant test you could possible have in your life
time. Trust me I had it 3 times and the other way test I had
over 15. So image dying in the process that sucks this is the
premise behind Ghost Town.
For Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais) is a man
whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies
unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he
wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see
ghosts. Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly
Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear), who pesters him into breaking up the
impending marriage of his widow Gwen (Téa Leoni). That puts Pincus
squarely in the middle of a triangle, with spirited results.
Ghost Town was a surprise touching comedy with
a big heart and a great premise. I like the idea of the film and
every thing in the film click perfectly. Granted you may be
saying you have seen this type of film many times before.
But this idea work on all levels the acting
was good you feel for each of the characters esp. for Ricky
character who is the nastiest person you will ever meet he makes
the scrooge look like a boy-scout. Tea plays the grieving widow
good and kind of remind me of Demi Moore in Ghost. Greg has a
good ghost and he is a very busy actor this fall he has this and
Flash of Genius coming out in the next two weeks.
The comedy was the right amount and it did not
get too silly and stupid and the jokes was not off the wall as
some comedy film tend to do when the screenplay runs out. This
film had the right amount of comedy, drama and some touching
moments that made for a great film. Overall this is one film you
don't want to miss with this weekend being a crowed weekend it
nice to have a feel good movie to look forward too.
